Booking Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By making use of our services or purchasing tickets via our website and associated booking platforms, you will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions below.

DEFINITIONS

  • “We” and “us” mean Charlene Becker t/a Pinpoint Tours. “Our” and “ours” are implied by extension.
  • “You” means you or any other person for whom the service is or for whom you are purchasing a ticket, or anyone acting on your behalf. “Your” and “yours” are implied by extension.
  • “Tour” means the event or events for which you are purchasing a ticket, as described on our website, at the time or times and on the date or dates you select.
  • “Ticket” means the rights of attendance and admission to the tour, in the form of a booking confirmation delivered electronically.
  • “Guide” means our appointed representative who is conducting and delivering the tour.

BOOKING A TOUR

  • All tours must be booked and paid for in advance.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to book a tour.
  • You will receive a booking confirmation to confirm key booking details via email.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

  • For group tour cancellations more than 24 hours before the start of the tour: a full refund of the booking price will be given.
  • For group tour cancellations 24 hours or less before the start of the tour or in case of a no-show: no refund will be given.
  • For private tour cancellations more than 7 days before the start of the tour: a full refund of the booking price will be given.
  • For private tour cancellations 7 days or less before the start of the tour: no refund will be given.
  • If you are unable to attend, we can transfer your ticket to a tour at a different time or date (subject to availability), or to another person, provided you advise us at least 24 hours before the tour starts.
  • We reserve the right to delay, postpone, or cancel a tour should the guide be taken ill or should circumstances arise that make the operation of a tour impossible. These might include severe weather, major transport disruption, or some other unforeseen event.
  • However, please note that the weather really does have to be extreme before we cancel. Please keep an eye on the weather forecast before your tour and ensure that you are dressed according to the weather forecast. Bad weather does not constitute a valid reason for you to cancel your tour.
  • If we cancel a tour we will offer you the choice of either switching to another date or tour or receiving a full refund.
  • It may be necessary, sometimes at short notice or without any prior notice, to make changes to an itinerary due to unforeseen events.

GAINING ADMISSION TO THE TOUR

  • The ticket is issued subject to these terms and conditions.
  • The tour will depart promptly at the scheduled departure time. You are advised to arrive at least ten minutes prior to this time, as the guide will not wait for you if you are late. (If you arrive late and the tour has departed and you are unable to join it, it will be seen as a no-show and no refund will be given.)
  • If you think you may arrive late please be sure to call your guide as soon as is practically possible (you will be supplied with his/her number beforehand), so that we can direct you to the tour.
  • When you arrive, please present your ticket to the guide, and any other proof of age that may be requested. You may present your ticket in the form of a printed-out paper copy, or on the screen of an electronic device.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • By booking a tour, you agree that you and any members of your group for whom you are making a booking are capable of participating in the tour given the distances and terrain indicated.
  • Some level of fitness is required for our tours, depending on which tour you are doing the levels of fitness may vary. You should be physically fit and in general, have good health. Some of the tours may involve steps and steep inclines. If you are uncertain please contact us before making a booking.
  • You are responsible for your own personal safety and belongings at all times. Please abide by all traffic rules and only cross over roads when it is safe to do so and at designated traffic crossings. We also ask you to be aware of any dangers, such as loose paving stones.
  • You must sign our indemnity form before you will be allowed to participate in a tour.

GRATUITIES

  • Tours do not include gratuities.

BEHAVIOUR

  • We reserve the right to refuse attendance and admission to the tour in reasonable circumstances or to request you to leave the tour and to take appropriate action to enforce this right.
  • In the event of any participant behaving in such a way as to cause or be likely (in our reasonable opinion or the reasonable opinion of any person in authority), to cause offense, danger, damage, significant discomfort, or distress to others, we reserve the right to terminate that person’s participation in the tour and we will ask him/her to leave the tour. No refunds will be given should this happen.

IMAGES AND MARKETING

  • You agree that while participating in any tour, images, photos, or videos may be taken by other participants, the guide, Pinpoint Tours, or its representatives that may contain or feature you.
  • You consent to any such pictures being taken and grant a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to Pinpoint Tours, its contractors, sub-contractors, and assigns, to reproduce for any purpose whatsoever (including marketing, promotions, and the creation of promotional materials by or with sub-licensees), in any medium whatsoever, whether currently known or hereinafter devised, without any further obligation or compensation payable to you.
  • You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time and the right to have the content erased. To exercise this right, you can email Pinpoint Tours.
  • We cannot be held accountable or liable for the use of any images taken of you by other participants on the tour or by other individuals who may photograph you while you participate in a tour with us.

LOSS, DAMAGE, INJURY, DEATH

  • We cannot be held responsible for the loss of or damage to your personal property during the tour. Please keep your belongings with you at all times.
  • We shall not be responsible for any death or personal injury during the tour, howsoever caused, save where caused by our negligence or for any other matter for which it would be illegal for us to limit, or attempt to limit our liability.
  • In no circumstance shall we be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, data, revenue, business opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill, or reputation whether in contract, tort, or otherwise arising out of or in connection with this agreement or purchases made through this website, save where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

  • Should you have a complaint about any aspect of the tour, you must notify the guide immediately so that the problem can be quickly resolved during the tour.
  • If the matter cannot be resolved to your satisfaction straight away, you can email Pinpoint Tours within 48 hours with the details of your complaint.

PRIVACY POLICY

  • We must collect your personal information to deliver the tour booked.
  • We collect, use, and disclose only that information reasonably required to enable us and our Third Party Suppliers to provide the particular tour that you have requested.
  • By submitting any personal information to us, you indicate your acceptance of our Privacy Policy.

CHANGES TO OUR BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • These Booking Terms and Conditions are effective as of 13 July 2024 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.
  • We reserve the right to update or change our Booking Terms and Conditions at any time and you should check the Booking Terms and Conditions periodically. Your continued use of the service after we post any modifications to the Booking Terms and Conditions on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide by and be bound by the modified Booking Terms and Conditions.
